Mudgee’s high-performance Training Village

The state’s newest high performance training and accommodation centre is just weeks away from opening in Mudgee.

Located just 3.5 hours from Sydney, the Mudgee Team Training Village will be a centre for athletes, corporate groups, and community sports teams to host sports training, team building retreats and youth sports camps.

With two accommodation wings and a communal building with commercial kitchen and conference rooms, the village can host up to 96 people. 

Delivered by Mid-Western Regional Council, the village has been made possible through funding from the Australian Government and New South Wales Government.

Mayor of Mid-Western Regional Council, Des Kennedy said the needs of every user have been thought of in the design process.

“We’ve incorporated some really fantastic elements into this facility including recovery baths for training and firepits for team building,” Mr Kennedy said.

Bookings are being accepted now for April 2025, with the facility anticipated to be complete by March 2025.
